White Colour Day - Toddlers

Children usually learn about colour during their preschool years. The ability to identify colours is considered a marker and milestone in a child’s cognitive process and is often part of early screening for development and educational admittance. Recognizing the colours and identifying the colour names is an important part of a child’s development.
The colour white is colour at its most complete and pure, the colour of perfection. The psychological meaning of white is purity, innocence, wholeness and completion. The little Toddlers enjoyed various activities to celebrate White Colour Day in their class. The children enjoyed making _____________ which depicted white colour. They also had a Show and Tell activity where they showed a white colour item. The teachers also created a white corner and explained about different items around us that are white. Overall, the children enjoyed themselves and learnt to associate the white colour to their environment.
