Fund Raising Carnival
“It's not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.” ― Mother Teresa
IHS organised a fund raising Carnival on 1st February, 2020. This fair was organised to create awareness about paediatric cancer and all proceeds went to CanKids…KidsCan, a registered NGO which is dedicated to enable best standards of treatment care and support services for children with cancer and their families from moment of diagnosis through treatment and after into survivorship on the one hand and palliative care, terminal and bereavement support on the other.
The school ground was decorated in bright colours to resemble a village fair to enable students and their parents to experience rural life. The visitors got a break from their mundane urban life and enjoyed the mood that was set. Mouth-watering food like makki ki roti with sarsoon ka saag, missi roti with daal straight off the chulha, candy floss, shikanji were the highlights on the food menu. The setting was totally tranquil and people took complete advantage of the bright sun and relaxed on the cots that were spread around. Game stalls were also a major attraction and children and adults alike thronged to them. Tractor ride, camel ride, puppet show and magic show were the added attractions for the children. It was a day spent well where all families got a chance to bond over good food and fun filled activities. This carnival has set the ball rolling for a long term association that IHS intends to have with Can Kids.....Kids Can.
