Janmashtami is celebrated with fervor and heightened spirits throughout the country. It marks the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna who is believed to be an incarnation of Lord Vishnu as per Hindu religion.
Cultural Education is an essential aspect of the curriculum. Understanding this importance and glorifying Indian traditions with the young generation, Janmashtami was celebrated in the school on 26th August 2019.
The students of Pre-Primary came dressed up as beautiful Radhas, Gopis and Lord Krishna, all set to celebrate the birth of Krishna. Children were excited to watch Baby Krishna placed in the cradle and each one was happy to rock the cradle gently. Nursery children continued their festive celebration by decorating the Matkis and later making beautiful flute adorned with peacock feather (a craft activity). The children thoroughly enjoyed all the activities after understanding the importance and relevance of it to the festival.
