Parent Involvement Activity
“At the end of the day, the most overwhelming key to a child’s success is the positive involvement of parents.”
~ Jane Dee Hull
Families are the keystones that hold the educational framework together. When schools, families, and community groups work together to support learning, children tend to do better in school, stay in school longer, and like school more. Keeping this thought in mind, mothers of the toddlers were invited to school to engage in an activity with their child. It was an enjoyable hour-long programe where the mother and child duo prepared some interesting dishes made without fire. Each child wanted to help to make sure that their mother’s dish looked the best. With Janamashthmi just round the corner, they also painted matkis, and ofcourse the children wanted to do most of the painting.
The principal, Ms. Neelu Sharma spent time with the mothers and spoke to them about the importance of having parents being involved in school activities, thus boosting the morale of the child.
