Report on Republic Day Special Assembly Grade - III
“A Nation’s culture resides in the hearts and in the soul of its people.”
It is known that India became independent on 15th August 1947 but the Indian Constitution finally came into action on 26 January 1950. Since then, we celebrate January 26th as Republic Day. It is not just another Indian festival. It is the festival of joy shared between people belonging to every religion, caste, and creed. The entire country is decorated in tri-colours to convey that India is a nation where ‘Unity in Diversity’ is celebrated. A special assembly was done by the students of Grade III and the occasion commenced with the unfurling of the national flag by our Principal, Ms. Neelu Sharma, followed by the National Anthem. This was followed by a short speech by one of the students and a melodious patriotic song. The students put up an interesting skit where the Fundamental Rights of every Indian was depicted followed by a very graceful and patriotic dance. After the celebration Principal Ma’am addressed and highlighted the significance of the day, and made the children aware that the future of their country lies in their hands.
