Special Assembly on English Day
“Without language, one cannot talk to people and understand them; one cannot share ones hopes and aspirations, grasp their history, appreciate their poetry, or savour their songs”
~ Nelson Mandela
Language is a beautiful thing that connects people; it helps express and communicate. To celebrate this idea, the students of Grades III- V of Imperial Heritage School presented a special assembly to emphasise the importance of English Language. It commenced with a beautiful thought on the beauty of the English language. This was followed by a pulsating song and dance on a grammar concept- Verbs. To make the assembly more interesting, students conducted a quiz based on the language. The students also asked riddles to keep the audience highly energised.
As quoted by Bertrand Russel, “Language serves not only to express thought, but to make possible thoughts which could not exist without it.”
