First Aid Day

Immediate first aid can make a real difference.

The second Saturday in the month of September is observed as World First Aid Day every year.

First aid refers to medical attention that is usually administered immediately after the injury occurs and at the location where it occurred. It often consists of a one-time, short-term treatment and requires little technology or training to administer. The website of the Red Cross states that many people across the globe get hurt and injured due to lack of timely medical assistance and in some critical cases, many even lose lives.

12th September 2022 was observed as First Aid Day at Imperial Heritage School. The school nurse conducted sessions from Nursery- Grade IV and explained the meaning of First Aid. She also demonstrated different situations where the little ones could give easy first aid to the patient. Seeing is believing- she showed them a sample first aid kit and explained about the common items that they were aware of.
