It takes 20 years to build a reputation and few minutes of cyber-incident to ruin it.” ~ Stephane Nappo
Cyber safety is all about staying safe online and being aware of the potential risks of using the Internet. As the world becomes increasingly digital, it is important to teach children about Cyber safety to help them navigate the online world safely. Cyber attacks are becoming more common, and children are often easy targets due to their lack of experience and knowledge.
Imperial Heritage School organized a Cyber workshop for students of Grades V- XI by renowned Cyber expert, Dr. Rakshit Tandon (hc), Cyber Security Evangelist- Risk Advisory , Cyber Detect & Respond Leader to discuss the importance of teaching children about cyber security, tips to educate them about cyber security risks and tools to help them learn.
The highly interactive session was an eye opener not just for the students but also for the staff as Dr. Tandon discussed various activities done on phones, not knowing the lurking dangers behind them. During the QnA session, students asked questions about various sites they used and became a shade wiser on how they could be more careful.
Students of Grades IX- XI also presented a Nukkad Natak on the dangers of Cyber World for children.
The workshop ended on a safe note, with a promise by Dr. Tandon to return soon with another workshop.
