Inter House Competitions

“The environment is where we all meet; where we all have a mutual interest; it is the one thing all of us share.”
~Lady Bird Johnson

No special week is complete without a competition and to inculcate a healthy competitive spirit, the school organised Inter House Competitions for Grades III- IX. A Declamation competition was organised for III- V, the topic being Save Earth, wherein the students selected a speech that was delivered in public and performed an excerpt of that speech to the audience. The little speakers mustered all the courage they had to face each other and bring forth their excellent oratory skills. Students of Grade VI-IX had a Nukkad Natak competition on Biodiversity in which they  beautifully conveyed that ‘Biodiversity boosts ecosystem productivity where each species, no matter how small, all have an important role to play’. The message through each Nukkad Natak was presented very eloquently and was very expressive. House wardens and house teachers worked cohesively with the participants and left no stone unturned to help them put forth their best performance. It was very challenging for the judges, Ms. Gunjan Dudeja, Ms. Priyani Sood, Ms. Divya Chaabra and Ms. Gunjan Batra, to select just three winners, with each participant being as good as the other. Both the competitions captured the very essence of Earth Day and at the end of both all the children were more aware of the issues faced by Mother Earth and promised to do their bit to make a positive difference.
