“Geography is the art of the mappable.” — Peter Haggett
Students of Grade V showcased their understanding of coordinates and map skills through an engaging Chart and Globe activity. The activity focused on finding locations using latitude and longitude—a key geographical skill. Divided into collaborative groups, students began by drawing coordinate grids on chart paper, reinforcing their understanding of lines of latitude and longitude. They then applied this knowledge to locate places on a globe, demonstrating how coordinates help pinpoint exact locations across the
globe.
The presentation was a wonderful blend of hands-on learning and teamwork, helping students develop both spatial awareness and global perspective in a fun and meaningful way.
