“Our flag does not fly because the wind is blowing. It flies with the last breath of every young man who sacrifices his life to protect it.” -Indian Army
India is all set to celebrate the 22th anniversary of the Kargil Vijay Diwas on 26th July to pay tribute to rekindle the pride and valour of the Indian soldiers who took part in Operation Vijay. The day marks the historic victory of Indian soldiers in recapturing the high outposts which had been lost to Pakistani intruders during the Kargil invasion.
The students of IMPERIAL HERITAGE SCHOOL paid tribute to war heroes of Indo-Pak War, 1999 on Kargil Vijay Diwas Day. The students remembered the sacrifices of the soldiers by paying tributes to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation. They honoured all the ‘Valiant Heroes of 1999’ who have served in the Indian Armed Forces. They had the opportunity to view ‘Power Point Presentation’ and ‘A video on Kargil War- Dates, History, Causes, Significance and Consequences’.
“The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him.”
