Heritage Week 2025 – Celebrating India’s Rich Legacy at IHS

Our school came alive with colours, traditions, and creativity as we celebrated Heritage Week 2025, honouring the beauty and diversity of India’s cultural roots through a series of engaging intra-class competitions across grades.

Nursery – National Leader/Freedom Fighters Fancy Dress

Grade I – Cultural Food Plate Collage

Grade II – Rhythms of Heritage Poem Recitation

Grade III–IV – Poster Design Contest

Grade V – Sustainable Art Exhibition

Grade VI–VIII – Cultural Mural

Grade XI–XII – Clay vs Plastic Debate

From dressing as inspiring national leaders to representing the states of India with traditional attire and regional cuisines, from creating intricate folk art like Kalamkari and Warli to vibrant tie-and-dye textiles, each competition reflected artistic skill and cultural pride. Students also showcased eco-friendly creations, thought-provoking comic strips on sustainability, and stunning artwork inspired by historical monuments.

The celebrations were more than just competitions — they were a journey through India’s diverse traditions, instilling pride, respect, and responsibility to protect and cherish our heritage for generations to come.

Our heritage is not just to be admired, but to be lived and preserved.
