As part of their EVS learning, the children explored the theme: “Who do plants and trees belong to?” They understood that plants and trees are a shared treasure and it is everyone’s responsibility to protect them.
During a nature walk, students observed different types of plants—herbs, shrubs, trees, climbers, and creepers—along with insects and birds around them. Guided by the school gardener, they learned interesting facts about flowers and plants.
In a role-play activity, students acted as plants and animals, sharing their habitats and expressing concerns about humans cutting trees and clearing land. Through this, they understood the importance of protecting nature and concluded that all living beings must live together in harmony.
Children concluded that plants, animals, and humans must live together in harmony, and that every living being has the right to a safe and secure environment. The session instilled a deep sense of care and responsibility towards nature.
