As part of the EVS chapter "Our Food", students of Grade III participated in a range of interactive and enriching activities that brought classroom learning to life. The experience began with a virtual tour of a farm, where children observed how crops are grown and understood the efforts of farmers in food production. They then played a fun and educational Wordwall quiz, where they matched foods to their correct sources and categorized them as bodybuilding, energy-giving, or protective foods. Following this, students brought and created picture cutouts, especially of dairy products, and matched them with appropriate food groups. To conclude, they made a colourful seasonal food calendar, drawing various fruits and vegetables and placing them under the correct seasons — summer, winter, autumn, and spring. These activities not only made learning joyful but also helped students appreciate the value of healthy eating and seasonal produce.
