In Grade II at IHS, we strongly believe in the power of experiential learning, where students understand concepts by actively engaging with them. To introduce the topic of prepositions, we began with an interactive and enjoyable game called “Place Me.” Through this activity, students physically demonstrated different positions, helping them grasp the idea of prepositions in a fun and meaningful way.
After the activity, the concept was further reinforced through a well-structured PPT presentation and educational videos, which provided visual clarity and deeper understanding. Students then practiced the topic through notebook tasks, allowing them to apply their learning independently.
To check the learning outcome, a listening comprehension activity was conducted. The teacher gave step-by-step instructions, and the students responded by drawing the described scenes. This not only evaluated their understanding of prepositions but also strengthened their listening and interpretation skills.
Overall, the approach ensured that students learned the concept through a blend of play, visual support, hands-on practice, and assessment—making the entire learning process engaging, effective, and enjoyable.
