Janjatiya Gaurav Pakhwara

Our school enthusiastically observed Janjatiya Gaurav Pakhwara from 1st to 15th November 2025 to mark the historic 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, a revered tribal freedom fighter whose courage, leadership and sacrifice hold an extraordinary place in India’s struggle for independence. Celebrated annually as Janjatiya Gaurav Divas, this occasion provided a meaningful opportunity for students and teachers to honour the contributions of tribal communities, appreciate their rich cultural heritage, and understand their vital role in shaping the nation. Throughout the fortnight, a series of educational, cultural and awareness-based activities were organised in alignment with CBSE’s suggested themes, including socio-economic development, education and skill enhancement, livelihood and entrepreneurship, health and wellness, art, culture and heritage, infrastructure development, and governance. As part of the programme, a special interactive session on the life, achievements and inspiring journey of Smt. Draupadi Murmu, the first tribal woman to become the President of India, was conducted for students, helping them understand her struggles, determination and contributions to public service, and motivating them to dream big despite challenges. Students participated enthusiastically in activities that showcased tribal art forms, traditional crafts, and indigenous knowledge systems, while discussions and presentations highlighted the challenges and achievements of tribal communities across India. Students were introduced to tribal craftsmanship, and cultural events such as dance performances, folk songs, and storytelling sessions helped create an immersive experience of tribal traditions. The entire celebration helped foster a deeper sense of respect and pride for the tribal communities of India and served as a heartfelt tribute to Bhagwan Birsa Munda’s remarkable legacy, inspiring students to value inclusivity, cultural diversity, and national unity.Tribes, and the role of institutions in empowering tribal communities.
