National Sports Day

On the auspicious occasion of Major Dhyan Chand’s Birth Anniversary, our school organized a variety of sports and games to pay tribute to the “Hockey Wizard of India” and to spread awareness about the importance of fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

The program began with energetic Races, and our School Principal, Mrs. Neelu Sharma, Sr.Head Mistress Mrs. Rakhi Ma'am and Jr. Head Mistress Sharan Ma'am inaugurated the events. where students of different classes participated with great enthusiasm. The races inspired qualities of determination, discipline, and the spirit of healthy competition.

This was followed by the traditional game of Pitthu (Seven Stones). Students enjoyed this exciting activity that tested their accuracy, quick reflexes, and teamwork while keeping alive the charm of our cultural games.

The thrill continued with Kho-Kho, one of the most loved Indian sports. The game highlighted agility, coordination, and presence of mind, as chasers and defenders displayed their speed and strategies in the playground.

Another highlight of the day was the Tug of War, which filled the atmosphere with loud cheers and excitement. The event not only tested the strength of the teams but also emphasized unity, coordination, and collective effort.

The celebration concluded with a friendly Cricket match, the most popular game among students. It was a delight to watch the young players showcase their batting, bowling, and fielding skills while playing with true sportsmanship.

Overall, the celebration of Major Dhyan Chand’s Birth Anniversary turned into a joyful festival of sports. These activities not only honoured the legacy of the legendary hockey player but also motivated students to take an active interest in games and adopt a healthy lifestyle.
