Electoral Literacy

In line with its its mission to promote civic engagement and democratic participation among students, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) organized a Webinar on Electoral Literacy. This initiative aims to equip students with the knowledge and understanding necessary to become an active participant in the democratic process.

Students from Imperial Heritage School recently attended the CBSE-hosted live webinar featuring key resource persons from the Electoral Commission of India, Mr. Umesh Sinha and Mr. Himanshu Gupta.

The Webinar on Electoral Literacy by CBSE provided students with valuable insights into the electoral process and their civic responsibilities, fostering a deeper understanding of democratic principles and active citizenship which was held on 15th Oct 2024 at 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Mr. Himanshu Gupta also announced initiating ELECTORAL CLUBS in the school and adding MOCK ELECTIONS as a part of the school activity.

The webinar concluded with certain queries related to the accuracy of voting system, role of social media, challenges faced during the electoral process, the electoral reforms and the authenticity of the election results.
