The chapter “Myself” was introduced through a series of engaging and child-friendly activities that encouraged self-expression and built confidence among our Grade I learners.
ID Card Making – Students designed their own ID cards with their names, ages, and self-portraits, helping them understand and recognize their unique identity.
Hand Puppet Talk – Using puppets, children confidently spoke about themselves, sharing their likes and personal details in a fun and imaginative way.
Hobbies Discussion – Learners enthusiastically shared their hobbies, learning to appreciate both their own interests and the diversity among their classmates.
Role Play – Through a short dramatization, students practiced introducing themselves and talking about their likes and family, strengthening their communication and social skills.
This lesson beautifully blended creativity, play, and communication, helping children:
• Understand and celebrate their individuality
• Build confidence in self-expression
• Appreciate differences among peers
• Connect classroom learning with real-life experiences
A joyful and meaningful learning experience for our young learners!
