Grammar Treasure Hunt: This, That, These & Those
Our Grade 1 students participated in an exciting Treasure Hunt Activity that transformed grammar learning into a fun-filled adventure. Children searched around the classroom for hidden objects and used the words this, that, these, and those to describe what they discovered.
With great enthusiasm, students framed sentences such as “This pencil is near me” and “Those books are far away,” helping them understand the concepts of distance and number in a practical and engaging way.
Through movement, observation, and active participation, students explored how these demonstratives are used in everyday language, making abstract grammar concepts easy to understand and relatable.
The activity not only strengthened their grammar skills but also encouraged teamwork, confidence, observation skills, and joyful learning, making the classroom experience both meaningful and memorable.
