Fun with Articles: A, An & The In Grade I

Our Grade I learners had an exciting and interactive session while exploring the tiny yet important words a, an, and the. Through a combination of two engaging activities, grammar turned into a joyful learning adventure!

The session began with an Object Hunt around the classroom, where students searched for different objects and framed sentences using the correct articles. From “I found an apple!” to “This is a pen!” and “Look at the toy car under the desk!”, children enthusiastically practiced their learning in a real-life context.

The fun continued with a lively Popcorn Activity, where each child took turns standing up and sharing their own sentences. Just like popcorn popping, one voice after another filled the classroom with excitement, laughter, and confidence.

These hands-on activities helped students strengthen their understanding of articles in a playful and meaningful way. The object hunt sparked curiosity, while the popcorn activity encouraged participation, speaking skills, and self-confidence—making grammar learning both enjoyable and memorable!
