English Subject Enrichment activity - Grade IV

The chapter ‘Everything is Possible’ was introduced through a warm and meaningful discussion where students shared childhood experiences of things they once found difficult but can now do confidently—from tying shoelaces to riding a bicycle. The teacher also shared a personal story of overcoming stage fear, creating a relatable and encouraging learning environment.

To build a deeper understanding, the chapter was explained in detail, emphasizing its core message that every skill can be developed with effort, practice, and a positive mindset. Real-life examples were connected to the lesson, helping students understand that “impossible” is only temporary.

As a fun hands-on extension, students participated in the ‘Ladder of Success’ Activity using ice cream sticks. Each child created a colorful ladder, writing their current “I can’t” challenges on the bottom stick, small action steps on the middle sticks, and their final goal “I CAN!” on the top.

Students confidently presented their ladders, reflecting on their journey from challenge to achievement. This creative activity beautifully reinforced the concept of growth mindset while encouraging self-belief, perseverance, and goal setting.
