Our Kindergarten learners embarked on an exciting journey to discover the magical world of plants through a series of hands-on and experiential EVS activities.
The learning began with a Nature Walk, where children explored our kitchen garden, closely observing different plants and appreciating the beauty of nature around them. They then participated in an engaging parts of a plant activity by assembling the different plant parts, helping them understand the structure and functions of a plant in a fun and interactive way.
The excitement continued with a Seed Germination Activity, where our little learners sowed seeds and eagerly observed how a tiny seed begins its journey to become a healthy plant. To enhance their understanding, children creatively explored the stages of plant growth through playdough modelling, solved wooden puzzles depicting the plant life cycle, and beautifully crafted the different stages of plant growth using clay pottery, which they later painted with vibrant colours.
The learning experience was further reinforced through thoughtfully designed worksheet activities, allowing children to recall and apply what they had explored during the enrichment sessions.
Through observation, exploration, creativity, and hands-on learning, our young environmental explorers developed a deeper appreciation for nature and discovered that every mighty plant begins with a tiny seed. Learning truly blossoms when children experience it with curiosity and joy!
