यदा यदा हि धर्मस्य ग्लानिर्भवति भारत।
अभ्युत्थानमधर्मस्य तदात्मानं सृजाम्यहम्॥ ४.७॥
परित्राणाय साधूनां विनाशाय च दुष्कृताम्।
धर्मसंस्थापनार्थाय सम्भवामि युगे युगे॥ ४.८॥

“Whenever righteousness declines and unrighteousness rise, I manifest Myself on Earth. I appear age after age to protect the righteous, destroy evil, and re-establish Dharma.”

With this profound message of Lord Krishna, the students of Grade VII-A presented a vibrant and meaningful Janmashtami Assembly, celebrating the timeless wisdom and divine spirit of Krishna. The celebration began with the auspicious Jhula ceremony of Laddoo Gopal, followed by a graceful group dance, soulful group song and an inspiring poem. Through a powerful enactment, students portrayed Lord Krishna’s wisdom and counsel to the Kauravas, urging them to choose peace and avert the devastating Mahabharata. The presentation then moved to the departure of Lord Krishna and the establishment of the Jagannath Temple, with students sharing fascinating facts about Lord Jagannath and his enduring legacy. 

Adding a contemporary touch to the celebration, the students presented the skit “The Krishna Within,” in which Lord Krishna visits IHS and guides students with the eternal teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, reminding them to choose courage, kindness, self-discipline and the right path in every situation.

Headmistress Ms. Rakhi Srivastava applauded the sincere efforts and creativity of the students and mentors. The assembly beautifully conveyed that Krishna is not merely a figure of the past, but a timeless source of wisdom and guidance.
