Introduction to Letter V in Nursery!

Our little learners had a fun-filled, vibrant, and engaging introduction to the letter V! Through colourful picture cards and interactive activities, they learnt to recognise the letter V, identify its sound /v/, and connect it with familiar words such as Vulture, Van, and Vase. 

The children enjoyed earbud painting on a cut-out of the letter V, adding their own creative touch while developing fine-motor skills. They also made a beautiful vase using ice-cream sticks and flower cut-outs and creatively formed the letter V with ice-cream sticks, making phonics learning both tactile and enjoyable.

To add an element of excitement and discovery, the children also participated in a volcano experiment! This hands-on experience sparked their curiosity and gave them an opportunity to learn through observation, exploration, and experiential learning.

From Vulture to Van, Vase to Volcano, the letter V came alive through a wonderful blend of phonics, art, craft, creativity, and exploration! 

Learning the letter V was truly a Vibrant, Visual, and Valuable experience for our little learners!
