Court for Creatures – A Lesson in Compassion by Grades III & IV

On the occasion of World Animal Day, the students of Grades III & IV stepped into the courtroom for an engaging and thought-provoking activity — “Court for Creatures.”

The session began with a video showcasing real-life incidents where humans went above and beyond to rescue and protect animals, even putting their own safety at risk. Inspired by these stories, our young learners brought a few such situations to life through a mock court trial.

The courtroom came alive with students taking on the roles of judges, lawyers, witnesses, and other characters, presenting arguments on a thought-provoking question: Is it right for humans to risk their own lives to save animals?

After listening to both sides, the young judge delivered the verdict, bringing the activity to a meaningful conclusion. The experience encouraged students to think critically about compassion, responsibility, empathy, and the value of every living being.

A wonderful way to learn that kindness towards animals begins with understanding, empathy, and responsible action.
