EVS for the Month of October (Animals Around us)

Little Explorers & Big Discoveries: Grade I Learns All About Animals
Around Us!

Our Grade I classrooms transformed into vibrant habitats this week as
our young learners wrapped up their chapter on "Animals Around Us"
with an array of hands-on, creative activities!

Here is a glimpse into how our little nature enthusiasts brought their
learning to life:

Hand Puppet Show & Characteristics: Using handmade animal puppets,
our students stepped into the shoes (and paws!) of their favorite
animals. They proudly presented key characteristics—from how animals
move to the unique sounds they make.

3D Habitat Models: Crafting miniature 3D models of forests, oceans,
farms, and deserts, students demonstrated a wonderful understanding of
where different animals live and why their homes matter.

Diet & Feeding Habits: Through interactive discussions, students
explored the food chain, categorizing animals based on what they
eat—herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores—with impressive clarity!

Pet Stories & Kindness: Learning extended home as students
enthusiastically shared stories about their own pets, emphasizing
empathy, care, and responsible pet ownership.

Seeing our Grade 1 learners combine art, public speaking, and science
with such confidence was truly heartwarming!
