Mathematics Day

“Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas.”
Albert Einstein, German theoretical physicist

National Mathematics Day is celebrated on 22nd December annually to mark the birth anniversary of legendary Indian mathematician, Srinivasa Ramanujan and his contributions to the field of Mathematics. Mathematics is a significant part of human logic and thoughts. It gives an effective way to create mental discipline and increases logical reasoning. Moreover, this knowledge plays an essential role in understanding the concept of other subjects like science, social studies, and even music and art.

Students of Nursery to Grade IX participated in various activities that helped sharpen their mental ability. One of the key objectives of these activities was to create an interest in those students who are not very fond of this subject. As Benjamin Franklin said, “Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn”, this was the best way to make students enjoy the subject. Various activities included Math Quiz, Activity on transversal Angles, Brain Teasers, Activity on Algebraic Expressions, Clock Making and Counting.
